This blog is dedicated to all women from a woman. From those who wear stage makeup (TV/theatre jobs) most days of the week, to those who seldom wear much makeup. It's what you put on your skin apart from your normal skincare routine. As for me, I would usually be out with at least a touch of loose powder and a bit of eye makeup after my sun protection cream. Even the powder has a bit of SPF in it.
Most people i know back in Singapore owns a set of their own makeup and use it almost daily(even my mother-in-law who is 60 still uses makeup everyday; n my own mummy too! ;)) . When last time it was considered as 'putting changes' onto one's face, nowadays makeup should be as minimal looking and an enhancement to one's features rather than wearing a thick coat of paint while strutting down the pavements of scotts road.
Past few years though, saw the increased interest in mineral makeup. a miracle creation for some ladies i know personally. why? because it does not irritates skin, does not clog the precious pores(thus contributing to the dreaded open pores) and even treat blemishes while covering it. One of my secondary school friend had serious case of youth acne when we were growing up. It started even before we both girls discovered the goodness(of hiding our flaws) n the FUN of applying makeup. But it got worse for her as the makeup which she was using (tho it was all 'high fashion branded' makeup line) started to leave its 'trail' on her skin. Her fave was Estee Lauder, Mac, Bobbi Brown, Shu Uemura and Clinique. Then she discovered her 1st mineral makeup in 2004. It was Bare escentuals from US. I dunno why it was not suitable for her. I tried then too but prefer compact powder rather than messy loose powder... she , however, kept complaining of 'itching' on her face at times. i guess not all mineral makeup are the same. and of course the messiness of her dresser table didn't quite strike a happy cord with the hubby.
Last year in December, i managed to catch up with her after more than 3 years of just communicating online.
I WAS SHOCKED actually! her thick acne which has been residing on her face for years are gone. GONE! its so porcelain smooth now, that of course our conversation that day as you would imagine ... are all about WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!
so she shared with me her 2 secrets.
1. mineral make up. NOT bare.id makeup. its GLOMINERALS.
2. her oxygen facial treatments n skincare regime by Karin Herzog(her dermatologist recommended her this, you cannot get these products at normal departmental stores)
she said this,
"Da, u know me, i've tried almost EVERYTHING under the sun to treat my acne prob. it came to a point when i almost give up. Glominerals gives me a choice of healthy makeup n treats my skin from outside in. n KH skincare treats my skin when im out of my makeup. Stop wasting your time with other makeups dat clogs your pores n all. even if u use the MOST Expensive skincare but u dun protect ur skin against harmful makeup, no point either. n this KH is a GODSEND! im speechless after just few weeks.... etc etc.."
we were at Toa Payoh Hub then. you know what i nearly did? felt like dragging her to meet Glominerals n KH distributor there n then!
I used SKII since April 2001 until last year when i realized it's not giving me the results i need nowadays (my skin used to be problem free few yrs ago but it all changed when i got pregnant :< ) n they dont have an eye cream! now that i've a baby, the area around my eyes definitely need some TLC... and 2 yrs ago i tried LaMer, but it's ridiculously expensive n not much difference even after 3 mths..
to cut the story short, i'm now on a mission to help ppl around me to take care of their skin better.
starting with Glominerals.
and now Karin Herzog has just been successfully brought into Brunei few weeks ago. (It was launched in Singapore in 2002) and personally, just after using it for a few weeks i've had positive comments on the 'glo' on my face last year... hihi don't we all need that extra confidence booster sometimes...

Welcome to PlatinumSkin Co.'s blog. Before I go on further, I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart to the most influential person in getting this site up and ready. He finally went to bed at 6am while i dozed off feeding our daughter at 4.30am.... he took most of the pictures of the products, resized all the pics from my CD, burn a few DVDs for my appointments with spas & salons, drive me around for most of my appointments, helped me to read the articles while I typed it in, lugged my heavy trolley bags in & out of the car.. the list just goes on! Thank you my dearest hubby, no words could describe how grateful i am ...
Of course, to my ever wonderful guru, Marul, you proved your reliability again with that crash course on weebly. 2 days on, and im a pro! hehe
Ok, feel free to browse around. I will update this site from time to time.
